"Missing", Project

"The garden of the Missing" in Meyrin, Geneva, is a heritage site that celebrated last fall its 10th annniversary.

8 artists were invited to take part in a competition to lay out this outdoor site.The artist Anne Blanchet won the competition.

People have gone missing on all continents and the suffering as well as the questioning of their families never end. The Associations of these families have united behind their common cause and ask for Truth and Justice.

The project "Missing" would like to express those complex issues in a visual symbolic way. Visual signs (empty cells on a wall, a sculpture, a path, trees of all continents, a blossoming appple tree) will help the users of this heritage site to understand the mission of "The garden of the Missing" and give a voice to those who have lost theirs.
